Hope for Human Trafficking

By Vound Software

With an estimated 20.9 million victims across the globe, human trafficking and slavery is a growing problem. Each year, roughly 17,500 individuals (80 percent of which are women and children) are brought into the U.S. and held against their will as victims of this tragedy. While they mostly focus on sex trafficking rather than the more widespread labor trafficking, laws to combat trafficking exist on the international, federal, and state levels. And beyond legislation, hundreds of organizations have devoted their time and resources to raise awareness and fight human trafficking worldwide. You can help too: This infographic will help you identify the signs of human trafficking, report a tip, and get help. If you recognize the strange work and living conditions that often accompany trafficking, speak up. Every voice counts.
